The Smoke House Curse — A Magical Mystery in Camborne

The old smoke house has stood on this spot for longer than anyone can remember. Denzel worked there — a quiet man, they say, right up until he started meddling with things he didn’t understand.

He wanted to master magic. Magic had other ideas.

Nobody has seen Denzel for years. But the smoke house is still here, the door is unlocked, and whatever he left behind hasn’t finished with this town yet. That’s where you come in: sixty minutes to unravel the curse he started, or become part of it.

What to expect

You’ll be booked in for a set time slot, so aim to arrive a couple of minutes early. Your game master will brief your team, then it’s through the door and the clock starts.

Inside you’ll find a room thick with atmosphere — flickering light, strange objects, and puzzles hidden in places you wouldn’t think to look. If your team hits a wall, your game master is watching and can nudge you along. Nobody stays stuck for long, and no one has ever actually been cursed. As far as we know.

When your hour’s up (or when you triumph — it happens), there’s the traditional team photo and post-game debrief, mostly consisting of “I TOLD you that symbol meant something”.
