Locked In – Escape Rooms Cornwall (“we”, “us”) operates the escape rooms at The Old Smoke House, Unit 15 Camborne Business Centre, Weeth Lane, Camborne, Cornwall TR14 7DB, and this website, www.lockedincornwall.com. What we collect and why
Bookings. When you book a game we collect your name, email address, phone number and booking details so we can run your session, send confirmations and reminders, and contact you if anything changes. Bookings are processed through SimplyBook.me and payments are handled securely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.
Waivers & disclaimers. Before you play we ask you to accept our participation disclaimer; we keep a record of that consent together with the booking it relates to.
Email. Booking emails are sent via our email provider (Brevo). If you opt in to marketing we will occasionally send offers and news; every email includes an unsubscribe link and you can opt out at any time.
Website analytics & advertising. With your consent (managed through the cookie banner) we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure our advertising. These set cookies only if you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link.
Legal bases
We process booking data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you; we keep waiver records and transaction records to comply with our legal obligations; analytics and marketing run only on your consent.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for up to 6 years to meet accounting and legal requirements. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per our analytics provider’s standard retention settings.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers named above (SimplyBook.me, Stripe, Brevo, Google, Meta) so they can provide their services to us, and where the law requires. We never sell your personal data.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email sales@lockedincornwall.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
