It’s 9am, the forecast has turned, and whoever said “we’ll just do the beach again” has gone quiet. Every family, every couple and every group of mates on holiday in Cornwall hits this moment eventually. The good news: some of the best things to do here were never about the weather in the first place.

Puzzle Escape 2.0. Never done an escape room before? This is the one. Bright, clever and built so that every age can join in. Ideal for families sheltering from a washed-out beach day. 2–6 players.
Pasty Escape. The most Cornish escape room in existence: piskies have pinched a treasured pasty recipe and you’ve got an hour to recover every ingredient. Only 83% of teams pull it off. 2–7 players.

- From St Ives: about 30 minutes — and yes, it can absolutely be raining in St Ives and dry in Camborne. Cornwall’s like that.
- When: games run 10am to 10pm, seven days a week.

Other rainy day ideas in Cornwall
We’d love to claim an escape room is the answer to every wet day, but if you’ve already played all three of our rooms (people do — then they come back with different teammates), here’s where else we’d genuinely send you:
- The Eden Project — the biomes don’t care about the weather, though everyone else has the same idea, so book ahead.
- National Maritime Museum, Falmouth — properly good with kids, and you can make an afternoon of it.

- Kresen Kernow, Redruth — Cornwall’s archive centre, free to visit, and quietly fascinating when you need an hour under a roof.

Rainy day questions, answered
Can you walk in without booking? Book first, even if it’s only ten minutes ahead on your phone. We staff the venue around bookings, so a walk-in only works if a session’s already running — booking online is what guarantees your room.
How long does it take? The game is 60 minutes. With your briefing and the aftermath (photos, arguing about who solved the most), allow about an hour and a half.
Is it suitable for young children? Puzzle Escape 2.0 is the family room and welcomes all ages. Under-14s play with an adult in the game.
Is there parking? Yes, free and right outside the door — no dashing through puddles across half of Camborne.
How do I get there from Truro? A390 towards Redruth, join the A30, come off at Camborne West and we’re two minutes away. About 20 minutes door to door.
