Team Building in Cornwall That People Actually Enjoy

Let’s be honest about team building. Most of it is a conference room, a flipchart, and a facilitator asking everyone to share something surprising about themselves. People endure it, claim expenses, and forget it by Friday.

An escape room is different, and the difference shows up in the first five minutes: real pressure, a real clock, and a puzzle that doesn’t care what anyone’s job title is.

What an hour in our rooms shows you

Put a team in an escape room and the org chart dissolves. The CEO is not automatically the best code-breaker. The quiet one from accounts turns out to be the person who notices everything. Someone takes charge; someone keeps everyone calm; someone disappears down a rabbit hole and has to be retrieved.

None of it is manufactured. That’s the point. You get an hour of genuine collaboration under pressure, and then — this is the bit managers love — weeks of shared references back at the office. “Remember when Dave wouldn’t let go of the lantern theory” does more for a team than any icebreaker ever has.

How it works at Locked In Cornwall

  • Rooms take 2 to 7 people each. Bigger team? All three rooms run at once — up to 21 players playing simultaneously — and yes, you should absolutely turn it into a competition between departments. Our scoring matrix ranks every team fairly, even across different rooms, team sizes and difficulty levels, so the winners’ bragging rights are mathematically watertight.
  • Your booking is private. No strangers filling out the numbers.
  • We’re easy to reach: two minutes off the A30 at Camborne, free parking on site, about 20 minutes from Truro and 10 from Redruth.
  • Pricing starts from £20 per person, and invoicing is easy — you get an invoice by email as standard, and we can issue a separate independent invoice for larger group bookings if your accounts team needs one.

Which room for which team?

  • The Smoke House Curse — for the team that wants a proper challenge. Atmospheric, tough, and very satisfying to beat.
  • Puzzle Escape 2.0 — the safest pick for mixed abilities and escape room first-timers. Everyone contributes.
  • Pasty Escape — the crowd-pleaser, and the one visiting colleagues will still be talking about. 83% success rate; see if your team beats the average.

Book your team in

For groups, the quickest route is a phone call: 01209 862796. Tell us your headcount and a date, and we’ll set it up — most corporate sessions run within a week of asking. Prefer email? sales@lockedincornwall.com. Smaller teams can simply book online.

Looking for something different for your next work social? We also run The Sleuth Society — a hosted evening of social deduction where your colleagues get to lie to each other’s faces, officially sanctioned. Creative teams love it.
