Birthday Escape Rooms in Cornwall — Because You Deserve Better Than Bowling

An escape room birthday gives everyone something to do — not just the birthday boy or girl. One hour, one locked door, and a group of your favourite people discovering exactly who panics under pressure. It beats standing round a bar asking how work’s going.

How a birthday works here

Your booking is private, so it’s just your party in the room — 2 to 7 players per game. Bigger group? All three rooms run at once — up to 21 players — so split into teams, race the same hour, and let our scoring matrix settle it: it ranks teams fairly even when the sizes and rooms differ, so there’s no arguing with the result. (There is always arguing with the result.) Nothing motivates a birthday crowd like beating the other half of the party.

• Pasty Escape — the birthday favourite. Funny, fast and properly Cornish, with an 83% success rate your group will take personally.
• The Smoke House Curse — for the friend who watches murder mysteries and says “I’d survive that”. Time to find out.
• Puzzle Escape 2.0 — the right call for mixed ages or first-timers, including kids’ birthdays.

Which room suits your party

Puzzle Escape 2.0 is the gentlest game and the usual pick for younger children and mixed-age families, with an 84% escape rate. Pasty Escape is our most Cornish hour and suits all ages (83%). The Smoke House Curse is our spookiest room and a good shout for older teens and adults who want more atmosphere (76%). Every game takes 2 to 7 players.

On the day

Arrive a couple of minutes before your slot. Your game master briefs the team, the door closes, and the next hour takes care of itself. Afterwards there’s the team photo — win or lose, it’s mandatory, them’s the rules — and you’re free to carry the celebration on elsewhere. All in, plan for about an hour and a half with us.

Children’s birthday parties

An escape room makes a birthday the whole group talks about afterwards, and it sorts the party in one booking. Children can play from age 7 (under-7s join free), and each room takes two to seven players, so a smaller party fits in one game and a bigger group can run across our three rooms at once.

Puzzle Escape 2.0 is the usual pick for a children’s party: plenty for everyone to get involved in, no scares, and a host keeping things moving. Bring the cake for afterwards, and we can point you to somewhere nearby for food if you are making a day of it. More on children’s escape rooms.
